I feel soooo old!

I am definitely feeling old this week! My oldest started his sophomore year of high school this week! Yes, he is a giant! He is almost 6 feet tall if not 6 feet! He has grown so much!
He also is starting his second year of boy's varsity soccer! He is loving it! the boys on that team are great. he has a great team behind him and they are all pretty mature for their ages and they stick up for one another and push each other!
They had a team dinner last night at one of the parents houses and the parents were highly impressed with the team. They acted mature, helped clean up, did dishes, and hung out for a while! I was super excited to hear about that because, well, they are a bunch of teenagers, but they are all very respectful and I am so glad!

His first soccer game is tonight! So good luck to this kid and his team! I enjoy watching him play and he has only gotten better since last year! (He had 5 days of 2 hour practices last week that I sat in the car and watched in between doing my crossword puzzles)

I'm dying!!

So, my hubby had a bunch of koozies and I had a bunch of DTF (direct to film) and screen prints for koozies (if I could get them to fit because he went to drinking slim cans, so some of them were to wide), but anyways.....while I was pressing his thousand (not really, but felt like it!) shirts for his business, I decided to do these and oh my god...I was dying as I was pressing them! of course my teenager was out there playing video games while I was pressing these and he just kept looking at me like I was nuts! So I would show him and he would shake his head with a smile and cover his face and give me the "oh my god mom what is wrong with you" shit that he does.
But, if you can't laugh then what is the point of living! Laugh and laugh often.
These cracked me up and do every time I see one on his beers!

That is all!

Cucumber Crack Salad

Cucumber Crack Salad

*Slice up a cucumber (wash of course!)
*1 cup of shredded sharp cheese (I shredded from a block plus I added more because I LOVE cheese)
*1/2 cup bacon (cooked)
*1/4 to 1/2 cup ranch (add more or less, it's as always a personal preference)
*2 tsps. dill

Mix it all up.
Throw in the fridge (covered) for a couple hours to get cold. It's wayyy better cold!

Take out and enjoy the goodness!

Brag Post

So, I am going to brag a little bit. The pictures below are from a few years ago. It still looks the same but there is a couch in the middle now so the kids can play video games and watch TV. Oh and my hubby too because he just loves that I am able to watch sports year round. LOL.

This is our attached garage. We turned it into my scrapbooking area and a place for the kids to play. All their toys are out in this garage. You cannot see them but they have an area on the other side of the garage with shelfs that contain their toys, a play kitchen, a makeup des for the princess and a toy box that contains mainly balls and other things that I did not put on the shelves in baskets. Not that it really helps with keeping toys out of the house, but it does keep them out of their rooms for the most part. Princess always has dolls in her room and Red always has a basketball in his bedroom. He just loves basketball and I mean the silent basketball! Not an actual loud ass basketball.

Let me tell you if you have a basketball player in your family, get them one of these silent basketballs! This thing is awesome. They can bounce all they want and it makes zero noise! Silent basketball Link

Anyways, back to my original post!
This is my scrapbook/craft area! It is awesome! All those things on the wall are stickers and some other things that can be hung up, everything else is organized and hidden in the cupboards. My hubby and father-in-law put this together for me! I absolutely love it. I have a shirt press on the counter also! I also have a TV, that I can put on shows, music etc., if I want!!

Now the key is just to be using it more!

Simple Quick Lunch

I know a lot of people struggle, and I am one of them, with what to make for lunches at work. At least I am. I have been going super simple lately and this is one of my super simples.

Taco Shell spread some mayo and mustard (or whatever you want as a condiment, if any)
I did peppered turkey (from Sam's club..so yummy!)
Spinach (or lettuce or whatever...I mean it's your sandwich so make it however the fuck you want, I am just giving a simple quick idea)
Fresh Tomatoes
Somewhere under there is a sharp cheddar cheese slide (from Aldi)

Roll that baby up like a burrito and I put saran wrap around it to hold it together and to make it to work without making a huge mess.

Then gobble that shit up!! So yummy and it fills me right up!

Kicked Ass

I totally kicked my to-do lists ass this weekend! I have had an ongoing list that I made July 7th and I had like one thing crossed off.

Hubby has been on me about finishing his shirts, my recipes were all over the freaking place.

So, while the kids and hubby went out on the lake this week. I kicked ass on my to-do list.

I got my hubby's shirts done for his Lawn Care business.

I got koozie's done with shit on them. I'll have to take pictures of them (I forgot), some of the sayings are just freaking hilarious and I was laughing as I pressed them!

I got my recipe books labeled (I am short one more recipe binder).  I need one for my canning recipes and my drinks. They will be all in one spot that my hubby can find a recipe if he needs it.

Next, I got my books done for the three kids and the hubby. I have a spiral book for each of them that I write in, just notes, words of encouragement, reminders, little things I have picked up over the years, in case something every happened to me.

Like if you burn yourself, but mustard on it. Yea it stinks, but it helps take the burn out of it or when you are done cutting onions, wet and soap your hands and run them over stainless steel faucet. It takes the onion smell out of your hands. Yes, it actually does work! Been doing it for years

And other things that kids should hear all the time. Lots of I love you's, remember to also use manners, smile, don't let anyone put you down, be nice to others, etc....

Pretty much whatever is on my mind at that point I write in a book.

I also got all my recipes wrote out on cards. I had recipes printed out, written on pieces of paper, written on the back of other recipes. Some were in my kitchen aid mixer, some were in the recipe box, bunch were on my book shelf.

Now to just get them in the books. LOL.

It may not seem like a lot to you, but between cleaning, laundry, cooking, dealing with kids, hubby, etc., I feel like I got a lot accomplished!

I only have 4 things (I just added one) left on that July 7th list to finish and I hoping to get those done this week. We shall see. The oldest starts soccer practice from 5:30 to 7:30 at night. So, it will have be done before that and after I get out of work or after I get home, but let's be honest, by time we get home it's 8 and I am ready to whip my bra off and put on my comfy clothes and sit down and do nothing for a couple hours before bed.

The two little ones had 3 days of school last week and are on a full week this week....so everyone send me their good wishes, because were they grumpy this weekend! Which I knew that was going to happen, especially with the princess. She is a fucking bear right now. I literally had to get her out of bed this morning because she was exhausted! Hopefully this week is better, but I know they are exhausted physically, emotionally and especially mentally! BUT...they are both loving school so that is always a great thing!

The oldest starts school a week from today! He is definitely not excited, especially since his girlfriend is no longer at his school. She goes to a local school down by us. He is excited about soccer though which makes my heart happy!

OH and on a separate note, check out my facebook page of deals. I try to post some everyday, but life gets busy and I cannot always be on the phone looking for deals. Let me know what you are looking for!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

Today was the first day of school for the red head and the princess! The red head was excited and so was the princess but she was nervous. Thankfully Red said that he would help her and walk her to her classroom because she was worried she wouldn't know how to get there (we had meet the teacher night Monday and went and met both teachers). The princesses teacher is the same teacher that Red had last year (we requested) so she was excited to find out that she got the same teacher! She is great! She helped Red come out of his shell last year and not be so shy! The teacher's goal of the year was getting him to do a full smile! LOL.
So, it was a great morning, everything went smooth! Thank goodness! I was up at 615am and both kids got dressed. We fixed the princesses hair and put her "Back to School" bow that she picked out at a store over the weekend. We got lunches packed. Photos taken and I gave them each a bracelet and said if you are having a tough time just touch or look at your bracelet and think of me and how strong of a kid you are. Smile and keep going. I also have the same bracelet that they each have. It was a mother/daughter bracelet and a mother/son paracord thin bracelet. I gave each of them theirs and got a hug from both and a teary eyed kiss from the princess.
So, we got everything done with 25 minutes to spare! Bus came and thankfully we have the best bus driver anyone could ask for. He is absolutely fabulous and Red loved him last year. He knew the princess because she would help take Red out to the bus in the mornings and walk out and get him after school. He also attended some t-ball games of Red. I mean he was just fantastic! We were so thankful for him being their bus driver because we thought that Red would have problems on the bus, but he didn't. It was such a great transition and I cannot give their bus driver enough praise!
and yes, Red is wearing his Steph Curry outfit! He absolutely loves Steph Curry and just basketball all together, which I am so thankful one of my kids is into sports, especially basketball! I was a huge sports player and basketball was my favorite, so I keep hoping he continues and I keep hoping the princess eventually gets into sports more!
Well lets just hope when they get home from school they are in great moods, I know they will be tired and that is great!
I am also curious what the princess looks like because she can become a hot mess real quick! LOL
