Understated Chaos
This page will honestly be all over the place. It will be personal, it will have meals that we have cooked or tried to cook, baked goods, deals that I have found browsing the internet, my book recommendations, crazy, funny and serious things that me and my family have done that day or week. I do swear, sometimes I swear like a sailor, so beware! So enjoy!

Kicked Ass
I totally kicked my to-do lists ass this weekend! I have had an ongoing list that I made July 7th and I had like one thing crossed off.
Hubby has been on me about finishing his shirts, my recipes were all over the freaking place.
So, while the kids and hubby went out on the lake this week. I kicked ass on my to-do list.
I got my hubby's shirts done for his Lawn Care business.
I got koozie's done with shit on them. I'll have to take pictures of them (I forgot), some of the sayings are just freaking hilarious and I was laughing as I pressed them!
I got my recipe books labeled (I am short one more recipe binder). I need one for my canning recipes and my drinks. They will be all in one spot that my hubby can find a recipe if he needs it.
Next, I got my books done for the three kids and the hubby. I have a spiral book for each of them that I write in, just notes, words of encouragement, reminders, little things I have picked up over the years, in case something every happened to me.
Like if you burn yourself, but mustard on it. Yea it stinks, but it helps take the burn out of it or when you are done cutting onions, wet and soap your hands and run them over stainless steel faucet. It takes the onion smell out of your hands. Yes, it actually does work! Been doing it for years
And other things that kids should hear all the time. Lots of I love you's, remember to also use manners, smile, don't let anyone put you down, be nice to others, etc....
Pretty much whatever is on my mind at that point I write in a book.
I also got all my recipes wrote out on cards. I had recipes printed out, written on pieces of paper, written on the back of other recipes. Some were in my kitchen aid mixer, some were in the recipe box, bunch were on my book shelf.
Now to just get them in the books. LOL.
It may not seem like a lot to you, but between cleaning, laundry, cooking, dealing with kids, hubby, etc., I feel like I got a lot accomplished!
I only have 4 things (I just added one) left on that July 7th list to finish and I hoping to get those done this week. We shall see. The oldest starts soccer practice from 5:30 to 7:30 at night. So, it will have be done before that and after I get out of work or after I get home, but let's be honest, by time we get home it's 8 and I am ready to whip my bra off and put on my comfy clothes and sit down and do nothing for a couple hours before bed.
The two little ones had 3 days of school last week and are on a full week this week....so everyone send me their good wishes, because were they grumpy this weekend! Which I knew that was going to happen, especially with the princess. She is a fucking bear right now. I literally had to get her out of bed this morning because she was exhausted! Hopefully this week is better, but I know they are exhausted physically, emotionally and especially mentally! BUT...they are both loving school so that is always a great thing!
The oldest starts school a week from today! He is definitely not excited, especially since his girlfriend is no longer at his school. She goes to a local school down by us. He is excited about soccer though which makes my heart happy!
OH and on a separate note, check out my facebook page of deals. I try to post some everyday, but life gets busy and I cannot always be on the phone looking for deals. Let me know what you are looking for!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!
So, it was a great morning, everything went smooth! Thank goodness! I was up at 615am and both kids got dressed. We fixed the princesses hair and put her "Back to School" bow that she picked out at a store over the weekend. We got lunches packed. Photos taken and I gave them each a bracelet and said if you are having a tough time just touch or look at your bracelet and think of me and how strong of a kid you are. Smile and keep going. I also have the same bracelet that they each have. It was a mother/daughter bracelet and a mother/son paracord thin bracelet. I gave each of them theirs and got a hug from both and a teary eyed kiss from the princess.
So, we got everything done with 25 minutes to spare! Bus came and thankfully we have the best bus driver anyone could ask for. He is absolutely fabulous and Red loved him last year. He knew the princess because she would help take Red out to the bus in the mornings and walk out and get him after school. He also attended some t-ball games of Red. I mean he was just fantastic! We were so thankful for him being their bus driver because we thought that Red would have problems on the bus, but he didn't. It was such a great transition and I cannot give their bus driver enough praise!
I feel soooo old!
I am definitely feeling old this week! My oldest started his sophomore year of high school this week! Yes, he is a giant! He is ...
