Lets just be honest we all have some great habits, some habits that are terrible that we cannot break and some new habits we want to take on but struggle with keeping. They say if you do a habit for 21 days it will just become routine. Let me tell you....I never, NEVER can make it 21 days with a new habit. For some reason I struggle. I don't know why. Maybe it's ambition, laziness or just not caring after a few days.
Well, I found this app called. Habit Now (Habit Now App) ←←← That's your link!
This app, let me explain, only started this about a week ago. There are different ways to add your habits in. For example, mine is water. I can pick the feature that lets me keep track of the water. So I drink 40 ounces. I type in 40. Then I drink another 12. So I hit add 12 and it keeps track. Where as I have another habit that says read/crosswords for at least 20 minutes (It's shorter than that), then I can just click it and it shows it's done.
So, what I did is I started and I added 6 habits. Some are easy, most are easy, but I struggle with my water intake (I get bored with it!) So, I took 6 habits.
My habits are:
1. Brush Teeth - Morning (No I don't struggle with brushing my teeth I just needed something easy to keep things going and make me get in the app everyday)
2. Brush Teeth - Night
3. Read/Crosswords - 20 mins. (This one is easy too, because I love to read and I love to do crosswords. Once again just trying to get in some easy habits that are easy to stick with and get things going)
4. No eating after 7pm (Believe it or not this one is hard for us. We are always outside, at the lake, in the garden, etc. until who knows when then we eat at like 9 or 10 at night. Then I stay up until 1 or 2 because I just feel like shit. So, this habit is a struggle for us and I have missed it 2 out of 10 days. But I can tell already when I eat after 7 because I just feel blah.)
5. Water - I have this set at 60oz. I struggle with water in-take. I'll be honest. So I am starting with 60oz. I always get at least 40 ounces in with my massive Stanley (40 oz. Stanley) cup. I always, always drink one of those, but that last 20 ounces I struggle with.
6. Vibration Plate - 20 mins. - I love this thing. I sit at a desk most of the day and I do get cramps the size of softballs in my calves. Always have since high school (I drank water all day every day in high school and still got them and always had bananas! Anyways this vibration plate (Vibration Plate) I like this thing (so does my husband. LOL) It shakes my entire body and I mean shakes, I put it on level 10 and it just shakes the shit out of me (not literally). But it suppose to help with multiple things (please go to link and read on it) I can say it helps my stress cause it makes me laugh when I first start and when my hubby and kids walk in and see me doing it and my whole body shaking, they start laughing and making comments. So, I think it helps the stress. I always do 30 minutes and the nice thing is I do it will watching TV so instead of sitting on my ass, I just stand on the vibration plate. The other day I did an hour because I just felt blah and it just shook the blah-ness out of me. LOL
So, those are the 6 habits I have started and I plan on adding one or two more after 21-28 days (3 to 4 weeks). Just slowing add a couple ever 3-4 weeks instead of overwhelming myself and adding like 15 to start with. I started small and will add small so it doesn't get overwhelming and I just say fuck it and quit!
